Slovenian pear brandy, gin, and liqueur win gold medals in London
Slovenian distillers achieved remarkable success at this year’s London Spirits Competition (LSC). Among the award‑winners, ŽivaGin from the Blackmill distillery in Črnomelj stood out by winning a gold medal and scoring 96 out of 100 points. Named after a Slavic goddess and distilled in a unique wooden still of the distillery’s own design, the gin impressed the judges with aromas of beeswax, juniper berries, licorice root, birch bark, and the fruits of mulberry and apricot.
Slovenian spirits collectively received two gold, three silver, and one bronze medal, once again confirming the high quality of Slovenian craft distilling.
