Lahinja Landscape Park is situated in the heart of Bela Krajina, demarcating an area of natural and cultural heritage along the upper reaches of the Lahinja River. The park’s predominant natural feature is water, so the park is also known as the park of mystical waters that are constantly vanishing and reappearing in various forms and conditions. The forests, marshes, and wet meadows along the river form the protected area of the upper part of the Lahinja River Basin and 7 km of the river’s upper reaches. The park is a true treasure trove of botanical features and cultural sites.
